FAQS

Is Nude Sugar Bar cruelty free?

That's a big YES! And a very important yes! The sugar itself, as well as our supporting products are all vegan and certified cruelty free.

I'm scared to be naked in front of a stranger....

Firstly, we won't be strangers for long!! We will be there to distract you with conversation, and quickly you'll forget you're even in the nude. And just a reminder: THERE IS NO JUDGMENT HERE.

Does it hurt?

Truthfully.... at the end of the day it is hair being removed from the follicle BUT the pain is in that instant and then totally subsides. The best part? The more you keep up with sugaring the less painful it becomes.

Do you sugar trans clients?

Absolutely. We offer sugaring for everyone, including all gender identities and expressions. If you have any questions or specific needs give us a call. Your safety and comfort are our top priority.

How often should I get sugared?

Every 4-6 weeks is ideal. We want to be removing the hair when it is the most vulnerable, so it damages the root for long lasting results!

How long does the hair have to be to be sugared?

1/4 of an inch! Need a visual? That's about the length of a grain of rice or a long sprinkle! If you currently shave, that's two weeks no shaving.

Why sugaring?

We are extremely passionate about sugaring and that's because it's all natural and gentle on the skin. The paste we use is made out of sugar, water and lemons. There are absolutely no harsh chemicals involved. The sugar is applied at body temperature, so no chance of it ripping the skin. We could keep going! Another perk?! The hair is removed in the same direction as hair growth, which means less breakage, less ingrowns and long-term results! As we continue to damage the hair follicles your hair grows back thinner and sparser over time.

Do you provide any other services?

No! And we cannot say this enough, our sole focus is SUGARING. So rest assured, we're experts in the field!

Can I get sugared while on my period?

Absolutely! As long as you have a tampon, diva cup, or something to stop the flow, it's no problem.

I am prone to ingrowns! HELP!

Exfoliate. Exfoliate. Exfoliate. Our favourite method of exfoliation is dry brushing. (We sell a plant fiber dry brush at the shop.) The idea with dry brushing is that you are brushing away all the dead skin and leaving the hair a clear path to grow through.
